METU Formula Racing is the Formula Student team of Middle East Technical University (METU), operating under the Robotics Society of METU. It is founded in 2015 by a group of 5 students. The main purpose of the team is to design and produce “Formula” type racing vehicles for Formula Student races, which are held every year on race tracks in many countries of the world and are considered the most prestigious engineering competition in the world among International Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.

Our team have participated in Formula Student Czech Republic, FSGermany, FSEast(online), Italy and UK races with Internal Combustion Engine vehicles until 2021. We aim to successfully represent our country and our school in the Electric Vehicle and Autonomous Vehicle categories from 2021. In addition to international races, it also participates in national events such as Teknofest, Automechanika Istanbul, Design Week and Innovation Week.
